IRON MIKE NORTON
HOME
"Spooky" (Custom Electric Resonator) - This
is the custom resonator Mike uses in almost
every live show.  Its built from a no name
guitar that probably came from China, with
several custom features including a Beard
resonator cone, ebony bridge, custom knobs
and Seymour Duncan pickup.

This guitar is generally kept tuned to open E.
"Chica" (Alvarez AJ60SC) - Big and beautiful,
this is the Alvarez that Mike typically plays
when doing his unplugged shows.  Its a jumbo
body single cutaway with the old Alvarez
active electronics from the late 80's/early 90's.

"Carla" (Alvarez 5214) - Given to him by a
close friend, this is Mike's favorite acoustic
guitar and is rarely seen outside of the studio.
Its an older Alvarez from the 80's and is very
loud with tons of sustain.  Mike swears there's
no better acoustic guitar in the world than
this.
Bugera V22 - Mike has been playing
Bugera Amps since they were first
introduced in the US>  He's owned
several different models but has a special
affinity for the V22 for its ability to be
overdriven at manageable volume levels.
 He's made some small modifications
from its stock specifications.
Robert Keeley Compressor - One of the
few pedals Mike uses live. Mike says
Keeley's compressor is one of th best
on the market.  He uses it to add some
drive & sustain to the front of the amp
during solos.

Mike wholeheartedly endorses Keeley
products and is on their artist page.

Morley NSW Wah - This is Mike's old Morley
NSW that he's used his entire career.  Its
barely still held together and badly needs to be
sent to Morley to be cleaned and restored, but
its stays on Mike's board and gets used at
every show.
